Heechul was just about to step into the nice warm water of the shower when his phone rang. He paused, one leg in the water and one out, debating whether he should ignore it. Sighing, Heechul quickly turned off the water and wrapped a towel around his waist. As tempting as it was to let the call go to voicemail, he just couldn’t do it..... What if it was something important?
Heechul scurried to where his phone was vibrating in his discarded jeans pocket.
“Hello?”
No one responded.
“Hello?!” He said louder this time and waited.
Nothing.
“YAH! Answer me, you bas-”
Heechul stopped when he heard the person on the other end sniff and let out a sobbing sound. His eyes went wide.
“Hankyu....Hankyungie?”
He was answered by more sniffing - swearing that he could hear the tears run down the younger man’s face. Heechul sighed, not out of anger, but to keep his tears from falling.
“Oh, Hankyungie...”
“Heechul....” Hankyung’s voice shook, “Do you hate me?”
The question took Heechul off guard.
“What?! Hate you?! I don’t understand...”
“Do you hate me? Y’know, for..... the lawsuit.... and after everything....”
“Hankyung, I don’t know what-”
“Everyone’s angry with me. They think I’m being selfish - that I’m trying to break everything, everyone apart...” Hankyung’s voice broke and Heechul could hear him trying to fight back sobs, “But I had to, Heechul.... I just.... had to.”
Heechul couldn’t hold back the tears any longer and they fell from his dark eyes.
A silence passed as neither of them spoke.
“Hankyungie....” Heechul finally whispered, breaking the silence, “I don’t hate you. I could never hate you.”
“.....But you haven’t talked to me since, and you deleted your hompage.... And I thought...”
“I love you. I didn’t call sooner because I was busy, I’m sorry. I deleted that worthless thing because I was so angry with everyone saying stuff against you, and I was ready to bitch them out, but I didn’t want to cause anymore trouble.... I’m sorry, Hankyungie. But I still love you. I always will.”
“You’re not angry?”
“No, you silly boy!” Heechul half laughed through his tears, “If I was angry, you would have known.”
Hankyung’s faint laughter relaxed Heechul.
“Hankyungie, I’ll be by your side no matter what. If you’re doing what you believe is right, then I’m behind you all the way.”
“Thanks Heechul.”
Heechul smiled, “Anything for you, Kyungie.... Oh, but while I have you on the phone, I think I should tell you...”
“What....?”
“I’m naked.”
