Sometimes, the “Best By” date is right

Sam and I just had a conversation that went something like this:

Sam: I think these peanuts don’t taste right.

Me: Oh?

Sam: The “best by” date said August… It’s been less than a month!

Me: I guess that’s why they don’t taste their best, now…

Sometimes, that “best by” date is no joke. Who knew?
