So, the original hook was melted down and turned into othet object, including the cross that Lori wore. The solution to getting rid of the vegenful spririt is to melt down the objects.
The burning question (heh), is why wasn't the spirit sent on when the hook was melted down the *first* time? What do you suppose is preventing it from coming back again, given that melting the hook didn't kill it the first time?
