TTSE 6
This post is an invite to the 6th annual Turkey Time Sushi Extravaganza (Turkey Time Sushi Extravaganza has been shortened to TTSE for the sake of brevity... mmmm sake.)
The is the 6th year I have organized this outing. The purpose is simple; get people together to devour raw fish and hang out. Sounds good, eh? Thanksgiving is two weeks from tomorrow, and the Friday after that is traditionally TTSE. The night before (wed) is once again a DYER WEED performance.. likely at the Burns House. While some people have requested Wednesday, Friday generaly works better. I hope you can all make it.
Why? Ahhh, the answer is simple. Sushi is good. Life is good. At this point in our lives, everyone has crazy schedules and people rarely see each other. We need to all actively seek and schedule social events with our friends. TTSE is a remedy to this problem. Furthermore, some of us are scattered across the U.S. and are almost never in the area, except around Holidays. Finally, there are new and interesting people to meet. Every year we sadly lose two or thee former attendees, but fortunately we gain four or five more.
The first and second TTSE incarnations were held at 'Shogun 22' in Green Brook, NJ. The atmosphere there now sucks since the establishment has been ravaged by fire again and again. The last thee years have been at Sapporo in New Brunswick, NJ. Personally I have been there over a dozen times and have never been dissappointed. Many desire a change of venue to the city. Being that I now live in the mile square city, I suggest Hoboken as a compromise. All in all, it is up to everyone. I have selected a start time of 7PM. I understand people may want to do 8PM. Please let me know what time and which location you prefer.
Like every year, there are people going who do not like raw fish. Please recall there are terriyaki and other COOKED dishes served at the restaurant. Also, there are avocado rolls, california rolls and vegan dishes. Have a bowl of rice with soy sauce if that makes you happy. You have options.
Please msg me so I know how many and what time to make the reservation for along with which location to select. According to last year's follow up email, we had 24 people total. This year we might break 30.
