vimessy told me a few days ago, that i haven't posted anything for a long time, so here is a picture. and i think it isn't that bad to say hello to all of you with some snape drawing. i hope you like it. ;)

Wow. lol, you know, after watching the movies and all, I actually forgot Snape really has a goatee and mustache. *grin* I always picture Alan Rickman, and he'd just look weird with them.

"Really has"? I know that's in Mary Grand Pre's illustrations but he's never described in the text that way, so personally I've always wondered where the heck she got the idea to draw it. (Alan Rickman would look very weird with this kind of goatee, yes; he's too jowly for that. But he looks okay with a regular sort of beard. Not that that would fit Snape at all, I don't think.)

Anyway! Not to endlessly quibble details. It's rather becoming on this particular rendition of Snape. And I lurve the cloak. :)

I saw it in one of the descriptions of Snape somewhere (I'm almost certain), actually. I just can't remember where. I never could picture him with one, that's probably why the one time I spotted it it caught my attention. Sallow skin and a goatee don't mix. Seriously. Though, I DO love this pic.

Jo's concept sketch of Snape has him sporting a goatee (it's quite cartoonish but better than Grandpere's) but she recently released a 1999 sketch and he just has stubble. Very fashionable IMO!!
