Vandalism, hat and strange passenger
1. While waiting for the bus, I notice that someone has stuck a postcard to a nearby bin. It is an arial-view photograph of the city, with the words 'I WAS HERE' printed in large white letters over it.
2. During my first shift at my job, one of the carers shows me a hat, bought for her by the man I'm assessing. It is a Christmas hat with a bauble on the point. When you press a button it starts flashing multicoloured fairylights and blaring obnoxious Christmas songs, while the long hood of the hat flaps to and fro.
3. The bus pauses at a junction, and from the top deck I have a clear view into the cars below me. At the traffic lights, an elderly woman sits in a run-down mini - with a life-size teddy-bear in the passenger seat, wearing a seat-belt and scarf.
