so, sitting here trying not to totally fry my brain out learning arabic (aarabeek). my head hurts. which is probably why i haven't updated in a while. just in these few sentences i've already had to retype 6 errors. man! it's a lot to get my mind around. not the arabic, but that i'm leaving in a month (which sounds a lot longer than 4 weeks

Also remember to be extra extra kind to yourself during training. It will burn you out and you just won't feel like yourself for a while, but this is normal because you're in a new country with a new language and new culture. Be super patient and don't worry. I know it will all fall into place for you.

it was definitely some fuzzy friends of ours in the background that day. so what's going on in the burbs these days? i've got about 4 days left in my homestay before i go to amman for our last couple days of shopping for our houses, last minute policy workshops and swearing in. i'd like to take this opportunity, when so much of our government is irritating at the very least, that our ambassador is a lovely human being and i'm happy to have him represent me here.
but yes, do get a profile or email me w/yr news. you must be going through a hell of a lot. take care and, of course, lots of love and hugs all around.
