Random 3 AM post....
It's the first time I've realized it. We are in college now.
I've had so many thoughts come back to me this week of the first day of school and the package of school supplies we would get. I always wanted to open them as soon as I got them. Something about school supplies always made me excited for school. All the colored pencils and markers, papers and binders. Seeing who was in your class and finding out you got this class and that teacher. And field trips and briarpatch day. popsicles on the field and Mrs. Mccoun whose name I can't spell. and camp birarwood and wednesday night supper. And me and dotties secret spot when we were 8 that no one knew about. It was like a fort. and pop music and nysnc.
then there were junior high. being driven to the summit by parents and movie night and boys. and more pop music. and mr bartz and rumors and friends changing. chase meadows jumping out the window in science class and Mrs. F yelling I love science out the window or whatever.
And high school and hard classes and jenkins and all that. Senior lounge and senior prom. new jobs and new friends and new opportunities
and this update was so much cooler in my head, but my point is that this is the first time I realized ALL that is behind us completely and forever. I'm so excited about the future though. Seeing what happens in college and beyond. I can't wait and I hope everyone else feels the same way. I love everyone still, of course. but now I'm excited to see what happens in everyone elses lives as we all go separate ways. Best of luck to everyone in college.
