Another Melbourne visit!
Sorry to everyone I didn't manage to catch up with. The timing was awful, and I had way too much stuff to do.
Anyway, my reasons for going on such short notice were excellent!
My uncle Jeremy was visiting from Perth - I haven't seen him in ages, maybe 8 years?
One of my oldest friends at school, Greg, moved to France 17 years ago. He's been back in Australia for a working holiday for 6 months or so, and he visited me in Sydney a while back, but his mother was visiting from France for a few weeks at the same time my Uncle was over, so kind of a critical mass of people in the same place.
Worked out well! :)
I got to spend a lot of time chatting with Greg and Monique (his mother), caught up with Luke, Phil and Maia (I try to catch up with them together, and it always leads to interesting conversations), had lunch with Dad, hung around with Mum and Jeremy. All good stuff!
Jeremy's worked as a chef most of his life, so we had some nifty discussions about cooking (me = cooking geek).
Aaanyway, next time I go to Melbourne I'll try to make it for longer - 2 days just isn't long enough.
