Oh my God, guys, I am so embarrassed about this: I wrote a POEM. I’ve never done one before, and this is so NOT what I sat down to write 30 minutes ago. It’s horribly Hallmark, and like I say, I’m embarrassed. But I figure, if it wanted to be written so much that it hit the paper despite my cringing and going “Oh shit this is such rubbish” - well, here it is. Sorry.

Author’s Note: Sorry. Really. I think this must have been inspired by several of the things I’ve read in the past few days, although it's definitely not anyone else's fault. Certainly what I sat down to write was a sort of follow up to trollopfop’s amazing
Rules While We Live
He doesn’t say, he’ll never say the words that dance here every day.
He puts them in my heart to keep them warm between us while we sleep.
And when we wake, we touch and hold; he smiles at me, his eyes so bold.
I hold him tight, my love, my heart, forever safe and never part.
And when we rise, we kiss and hug, move round each other warm and snug;
I touch his lips, he kisses mine. He smiles again; it just takes time.
And while we live, it’s always us; I care for him - he says I fuss.
He takes me in his arms to stay; I’m glad I came back. Every day.
And when he dies, I’ll still be there, never parted, hope and care.
I love this man like he loves me, forever joined; true harmony.
