Summary: I wrote a story called Later, which was from Mike’s pov during a Green Day concert. Now let’s imagine the concert took place in Milton Keynes in June 2005, and that DCI Sam Tyler of the Greater Manchester Police was in the audience.
A/N: I wrote this for the Friday Drabble Crossover Challenge at Lifein1973, then realised I couldn’t post it there because Green Day fic is RPS *headdesk*. (If it weren’t for the RPS element, I would have put the crossover and pairing information after the drabble, for the surprise).
Something
There was something going on there, Sam was sure. They hardly looked at each other beyond the requirements of the job, but Sam had studied body language as a requirement of his job and what he saw was - yearning: covered up and under control, but yearning nonetheless.
He’d had doubts about coming tonight, but he watched as the two men suddenly grinned at each other, and was glad he had.
As the fireworks lit the sky and Sam prepared to leave, he wondered if anyone would ever look at him the way the bass player was looking at Billie Joe.
