a few things
so, roomie crackgrrrl was up super early this morning baking molasses cookies. I just ate one and they are mmm..mmmmm good. I don't know if they are for her work or for the party tonight, but if you are lucky she will leave some out for you tonight.
beeporama and I went to see The Two Towers last night. I don't really need to say anything about it, do I? I mean, you're all going to go see it anyway. It was really really good. An anecdote on its goodness, at the end of the 3 hours beeporama and I were both "huh? What? It's over already?". We could easily have sat through another hour or two.
Now, it strays a lot further from the book than The Fellowship did, so don't go into the theater thinking about what happened in the book. Rather, go into the theater thinking about what happened in the last movie.
Highlights are many, lowlights are few:the only thing that I didn't like was the abuse of Gimli as comic relief. Christ, people, he is a proud dwarf warrior. Show some freakin respect. I can understand the temptation, John Rhys-Davies is a wonderful comic actor. They could've toned it down, though. He could have been funny without having to take pratfalls.
Other than that, excited about our party tonight. I hope lots of people come. I like having parties because it gives me an oppurtunity to actually talk to people. I see a lot of people socially, like at Ceremony, but clubs and bars are not as condusive to talking and getting to know people.
So, I hope you'll all come out and bring a friend. :D
