I went to the TSA page to refresh my memory on what size and how many liquids I am allowed to take with my carry-on (3oz, btw) and I was scrolling through the rest of the lists just for the heck of it.
This was my favorite item:

You are also not allowed to carry on your cattle prods, cricket bats, starter pistols, meat cleavers, or sabers. For some reason, the spear gun made me laugh, though. I guess I just picture a Ahab holding up security with his spear gun, still going after that damn whale.
