If I could go back in time and talk to my young self (heh, what a nightmare that would be) and convince my young self to do one thing it would be to pursue math and science more and end up in astronomy.
I was always pretty adept at the maths, but I had my romantic heart set on writing and painting and all sorts of things that actually classify as "hobbies" more than anything else (for me, I mean, not for the rare people who are actually talented enough to matter).
But, here I am. I know that I could go back and start over, but I am just not willing to do that. So, now I read astronomy blogs and news and that's my hobby.
I would let my young self continue to drink and do that drugs and be a crazy person, but, geeze, don't drop out of Calculus! and take Physics!
