Need help from folks
I'm not inclined to do such things, but I really need to ask for some help from my greater community. I've been struggling, and spinning wheels, to generate enough income to be able to keep my house.
One thing that I've been doing is trying to find some good housemates to help create a second income. I have some info about the rooms and house on my page at http://dorothyk.net and would appreciate if people could help me look for folks in need of housing.
Since it seems people come and go so much, in addition to the long-term rental rate, I've also developed rates for folks that are going to be in town for short periods... more then the monthly rate, but much less then a hotel. Those are $45/day, $250/week, & $700/month.
The other thing I need is pay-me work. At least a couple ways to go with that... self-employment income or a job... or some combination. I just put a couple copies of my resume at http://dorothyk.net/resume/ (choice... .doc or .pdf) I'd like to focus on Graphic Design if I can, and expect to start out with a job running a copy shop of some sort, whether in a free standing place like Kinko's or for a company that needs someone that can deal with documents in various ways.

- I've worked a lot with fairly simple web design stuff (simple 'cause I haven't done much recently and need to get up to date on software I already own, Front Page, GoLive, Dreamweaver, and assorted related packages.)
- I also know Photoshop pretty well, own a 12"x18" scanner and color laser printer... so can create and print posters and other large format documents.
- I can also scan and retouch photos, scan transparencies, negatives, and slides and print those.
- I've also got InDesign, which is software that professionals use to create documents to have printed... from flyers to books. So I can help with any of that sort of thing.
