Just found the perfect food for all of us watching our weight and our Cholesterol
Take 1 and a half tablespoons of Oat Bran (Up to now I have found some milled by Mornflake in Morrisons and Holland and Barratts)
add 1 and a half Tbsp of Fromage Fraise or Quark (Smooth type of cottage cheese)
add 1 egg or egg white
pinch of salt or sweetner so they can be sweet or savoury.
Mix together
as near to possible dry fry it (drop of oil wiped around the pan) about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
they keep in the fridge for about a week and can be frozen but keep covered to stop them going dry.
Dr Dukan and the packet say they reduce Cholesterol and make one feel full without adding weight,
also because it's the Bran it aids elimination.(quite nicely put)[grin]
He also prescribes at least 30 minutes brisk walk every day
(today I made two with one egg and
roobarbthought they tasted nicer.but she put butter on hers which was very naughty lol.
these oat cakes are ok and can be eaten at any time
but if you can't be bothered to do them just take 1 1/2 tablespoons a day on your cerials in the morning.
He advocates them for life and it strikes me they would be a better bet than Statins or any other chemicals the Pharmaceutical companies dream up

By the way I am cross I have been encouraging myself with the Greatest loser shows and now find they are going on to Sky HD which we haven't got and don't want to pay extra for. Who on earth wants every extra bit of flesh in High Definition? Not me..
