i came here in the office late even though i left home at around 7am, imagine... freaking 2 1/2 traveling hours?! i have always been late and tired since i started going on therapy as it does consequently affected my body clock and functioning. my latest was last saturday and so as to ease my weariness during the process, i just watched a bulk of the torrent downloads i had for the week. here are my to-the-point reviews:
first was "love guru" man, it hurt more than the therapy to watch. i have grown to love myer's comic antics but i guess i have been worn out watching him as i can still see the austin powers in pikra (the "love guru" character.) it was a total low blow.
i had "pineapple express" next. i had doubts at first if ever i will enjoy watching this as i'm not into "pot" comedies. but surprisingly, i was entertained with its strange wit, surprises and admirable weirdness. though, it was a little bit frumpy and violent, it still worked for me... given also to the fact that i don't know anything about weeds. hehe ; ) franco was in his usual fine acting here, not to mention.
the last in the list was "mad men." and man! i'm madly hooked to this series. after watching half of its season, i would condense it as a depiction of creative men in an advertising agency-- their bias, sexuality, drinking and cigarettes.lol you will know it why. it is set in NY in the 60's which is such a dead on as far a design details are concerned. and am just amused watching it as i can relate to some degree of it (obviously, not because of the era) but me, being an accounts in the jungle called advertising. thanks to my cd for suggesting this one.
honestly, i was late partly because of "mad men" as i tried to finish it last night. lol. i'm such a fanatic for having wanted to finisit and proceed to season 2.
quick realization, i have been gone too long posting here. not. i still do but privately. i just miss posting my senseless thoughts in public, particularly on doing reviews. i guess, i'm back... trying to be.
but first, back to work.
