Today

Today has been a funny day to say the least for several reasons:

I had a sit down meeting this morning with the girl who is going to take over from me when I leave Northern Rock and the team coordinator to go over the product with him, this was to a) justify the last 4 and a half months of my life, so I know have both a business plan that is as much use as a chocolate coffee pot and a fully implemented Spotlight/MessageStats install, and b) to ensure that Charlie knows as much as she can about the product and can answer most questions about the software.

I suppose with this happening it has started to hit home that I am going back to Yorkshire on Friday, as usual with ending most of my contracts I have mixed emotions regarding this. I have loved my time working for Northern Rock, and the people that I have been working with are simply amazing and well within the top 3 for teams that I am lucky to have worked with. On the other hand I am seriously looking forward to going back to Huddersfield and spending time with Pete and the kittens, though they had a week of me constantly last week while Pete was in France so they are probably sick of me by now.

nyx_dormarth has got around to getting herself a FaceBook profile I noticed this afternoon when I came home from work, so after a quick nap to see if I could stop myself feeling sick I logged onto FaceBook and added her. I thought that I would see what profile picture she had put on her profile and got a bit of a shock to see her hometown listed as 'Soon to be London", welcome young poof to the phenomena that is the Social Networking of Web 2.0.

Don't get me wrong after her name man got a job in London, I always knew it was a possibility that she would move down to "The Smoke", I just would have thought that she would have maybe told me instead of me reading it on a web site.

Right I have been feeling really sick all afternoon so I am going to go have a bath now to see if that makes me feel any better.
