[Its the 16th deck that finally sends Anna over the edge - she’s there running from things, her life, her issues - it’s a deck that takes her concentration, that makes her think and count seconds in order to move in time and avoid falling. It prevents her from thinking too much.

That is, until she starts curiously opening the doors. The first few ( Read more... )

[Simba is actually on his way to visit Link when he hears the crashing. He decides to investigate, against his better judgment. Curiosity killed the who now?

Anyway he looks a little relieved when he realizes it's only Anna. She gets a smile as he trots closer.]

Hey! Are you okay?

[The tiger jerks when she hears someone speak to her, and when Simba gets close enough, he'll notice there's nothing about Anna within those eyes. It's just pure fury and chaos swimming in them. Anna's struggling for control of the beast, but she can't win. The most she can do is manage a word for him, a word only he will understand, because of what he is. ]

Run.

[He stops almost immediately when she turns to look at him. Is it just him or did everything just get really really creepy. He studies Anna for a minute. Something's wrong.]

What's the matter?

[Though he's not running like she told him to, he makes no move to edge closer to her. There's enough space between them that he can defend himself if he needs to. He's really hoping he won't need to.]

[Oh, Simba. That was your one chance to go, because Anna's completely lost control of herself again, and it's all beast and no humanity - there's no recognition or sense of morality in those eyes. All the tiger can see is a threat.

She suddenly lunges at him, jaws open wide to snap at his neck.]

[OH GOD. NOT AGAIN.

He lets out a roar and when she leaps at him, he extends his claws and swipes at her. He doesn't want to hurt her. Just stun her enough for him to get away.]

[His claws rake across her side, but it does little to deter her. If anything, it makes her angrier, and instead of doing or retreating, she roars herself, then lunges at him again, claws extending as she tries to catch hold of him.]

[Her claws tear into his side. But there's no time to worry about that now. He rears back, ready to grapple with her. He's hoping he's strong enough to knock her back. Teeth snap and try their best to clamp down on something.]

[It's almost like she doesn't feel anything anymore - she's so out of it and rabid that his teeth sinking into her don't slow or faze her (though it likely will later). She thrashes in her grip, trying to tear loose and smash a paw at his head at the same time.]

[Simba's not going to give up that easily. Even with a paw smashing into his head and his vision is swimming. No. He just remembers the fight he had with Nala. If he can flip her, distract her enough to bolt down the stairs, he can make a dash for Link's room. He really doesn't want to hurt Anna, but he's got to get her off of him.

With his jaws clamped around her, he shakes his head, hopefully to disorient her, as he shifts his weight to his back and falling to the floor. Now if only he can get his legs under her...]

[She's still fresh from her buff, but even an empowered tiger doesn't deal well with being shook like that. It completely disorients her, and Simba will have a good opportunity to get his feet under her if that's what he's aiming for.]

[Awesome, cause the minute he feels his feet pressing against her, he's pushing as much strength as he can muster in those legs of his and flinging Anna up and over his head. He scrambles up, ignoring his injuries and how they burn with each movement he makes. He doesn't bother to see where she's landed. He just knows this is his opportunity to run and run he does.

He leaps down the staircase, landing painfully and staggering to regain his bearings before bolting toward Link's room and scratching frantically at the door. Please be in there Link. Please let him in.]

[The sudden thumping scratches at his door startle him out of a fitful sleep. A little dazed but otherwise confused, he wanders to the door and pulls it open, safety reminding him to keep behind the door as he opens it, just in case, waiting to see if there's any reaction from outside.]

[When the door opens, Simba's head swivels around. He had been watching over his shoulder for any signs of Anna bounding after him. When he speaks his voice is gentle, but urgent.]

Link, let me in. It's me, Simba. Please.

[The tiger will not be following! Simba has managed to lose her interest completely, since he's managed to disappear. She's on to bigger and Easier better targets~]

[Simba? Immediately he flings the door out of the way to run out; he hasn't seen Simba in forever, how is he--?

He stops dead when he sees the blood, stomach twisting violently. Oh no. Oh no. He's totally frozen, eyes wide with a gripping fear, and he falls down to his knees next to Simba, hastily and shakily looking for the wounds-- how many does he have, how bad are they, he has to be okay. It can;t happen again.]
