ok, i'm going to do that whole lame new year post (just thought i should warn everyone)
2002 is over. crazy huh? here is a brief summary of what last year was like. this past year i....
graduated from high school
said goodbye to a lot of friends
said hello to a bunch more (hi shirley!!! *waves*)
found out how much fun playing Sega games could be
had my first lesson in heartbreak
enjoyed my first summer in a million years that i didnt have an assigned summer reading list....hence...i read a shit load of cool books
went to my senior prom.....and actually didnt have a miserable time
ended a 2 and a half year relationship.....and actually maintained a friendship out of said relationship
got a pet mouse....named him Spencer
lost someone extremely special to me forever (we all miss you Mr A)
watched as my little brother grew to be taller than me
freaked out about starting college
survived and actually did well in my first semester at St Johns
ok. so thats about it. everything important really. did i learn anything this year? i think so. but more in the whole "life lesson" department than the academic. i learned that i'm better at dealing with change than i thought i was. i left one school and started another without as much drama as i had anticipated. i lost a lot of friends but made a lot more. i took the first step in growing up and facing the real world and responcibilities. and you know what? it wasnt too bad. i learned that people do survive heartbreak and its not the end of the world, even tough it may feel like it. i had to deal with the unexpected death of someone very close to me for the first time. so yeah. i think i learned a lot this past year.
i'm not making a New Year resolution. i never do because i never keep it. why bother doing something if your only gonna do it half assed? i'm just going to hope that this year goes smoother than last year.
