Once again I am going to mention seperation of church and state. Well, the myth of it anyway. Is there even one good reason a person should believe that government and church should be seperate? I'm not saying that the government should be run by the church, but, the church should be able to exercise their beliefs no matter where they are. Christians can't have a moment of silence before school to pray because aitheists don't want to be subject to prayer. Which religion is being established? Prayer can't be said before a football game over the PA for the students because people who don't believe in God don't want to hear it. Yet people who are offended by swearing have to listen to that throughout the whole game. Which religion is being established? The 10 commandments can't be displayed in public school because people who don't believe in God, or in a form of "god" don't want to see them. Which religion is being established? Banners displaying "In God we trust" and "God bless America" cannot be hung on courthouse or city hall grounds. Which religion is being established? Public schools have to teach evolution, but they cannot teach, or do not teach creationism because it involves believing in God. Which religion is being established? The 1st amendment says that "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion; nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." Which religion, and yes, aitheism is a religion, humanism is a religion, is being respected by the government? 80 some percent of Americans claim to be Christians, why is it that the government is so afraid of people who don't believe in a god, or in God, that they respect and establish the religion of the other 20%? Christians have to listen to things that go against what they believe(i.e. darwins theory of evolution and natural selection, sex ed being taught in 6th grade) and also listen to swearing, and are expected to "tolerate" what other people believe. When are people going to start tolerating Christians and what they believe? When are people going to have to deal with stuff they don't beleive so that Christians can have the freedom to exercise their beliefs? Something is not making sense here. Every tiny bit of Christianity is being thrown out of public because a mere 20% or less of people don't want to be exposed to it. Are they afraid they will be convicted? If we have to deal with their crap, then they should have to deal with ours. Why do we have to listen and be taught what they believe, and they don't have to listen and be taught what Christians believe? Wake up church! Wake up Government! It's time for things to starting changing in a fair and equal manner. Oh yes, something else I forgot to mention. Why is it that "under God" needs to be removed from the pledge because some people don't believe in God? Which religion is being established? Sometimes Christians don't take a stand because they think we are suppose to just sit back and let God do it. That's not true. If we want God to be honored then we have to do it. It's not wrong to go to court to see that things in this country are as they should be. Why are Christians afraid of legal action? Come on Church, come on teenagers stop living like the world and look for God to be glorified. Speak God at school, pray at school, talk about God in classes. You have freedom now let's take it back.
