Queenstown

Maddiey and I are in Queenstown tonight. We got here a couple of nights ago, and we're leaving at about 6:45am tomorrow. Such a painful concept!

I'm just uploading more photos at the moment, so I can take more (sd card was full), and I've not done it in a while, so it's taking a long time. Maddiey is doing something similar beside me, and we're trying not to get deafened by the sound of a group of Poms and others who just set up camp near by, drinking and talking. What is it about alcohol that makes you TALK REALLY REALLY REALLY LOUDLY???

Yes, I'm getting old! Oh well.

Our time in Queenstown has been pretty quiet generally. We have just been wandering around and looking in shops and stuff. It's such a beautiful town though. It's not very big, apparenly only about 800 residents or something. But there are heaps of activities you can do here, so there are heaps and heaps of tourists. Today we took a gondola (cable car) up to the top of one of the mountains and took heaps of pics. So beautiful. We could have gone on a luge down the hill but decided against it. We just chilled out and went "oh so pretty" lots and lots! I'll link to photos soon I promise.

Tomorrow we start on the Stray bus at last. We're heading up to the Milford sound I think. I'm not entirely clear on what we're doing, but no doubt it will be fun. Fingers crossed!

I'm not really sure what else to say, we don't have all that much to talk about. Plus it's a bit hard to concentrate while resisting the urge to laugh at the slightly dense Welsh girls who are being quizzed on Germany and just asked "Is Berlin still split?"

I'm pretty sure that the Berlin wall came down before these girls were even born, but anyway!

OK. I'm off for a bit now. I'm going to try and update the links page for the photos on my webpage.

Take care all.
