I went to the most recent PB show. Moshed for what it was worth. Screamed my rubber bands off at kids who were just sitting there. One of the band members later remarked that the wall of inactive kids looked like they carried the impression that I was going to hit one of them. I would have, had they had the courage to get up and get in the pit. It's sad when the people willing to mosh are mostly wearing skirts. I don't fully understand the pit mentality. I just dig the music. Something about being in the thicket of people with music so full of energy makes you want to go totally primal. It's very cathardic and something that I miss more and more every time I come back to it. Screaming, pushing, pulling, sweating, knocking a motherfucker down and helping him up only so he can knock you into a wall or speaker. Very primal. Very tribal. You feel someone grab onto your collar in an effort to stop themselves from falling. You do your best to keep them up, and then move on.
