Billy had his back to the shower stall, and he still had a hand over his eyes. Tommy was swearing -- loudly -- and Megan was whimpering like an injured puppy. Which, Billy acknowledged, was a perfectly reasonable reaction to cracking your head on the wall.
"Doesn't look like anything's broken," Tommy said darkly. Billy could feel his doppleganger's eyes boring into his back, and a blush was rising to his face, making his ears burn. A few hours ago, he would have said that Tommy deserved this; that was before accidentally startling Tommy and Megan, leading Tommy to letting her go at the absolute worst time, leading to her hitting her head.
"I'll get her to a doctor," Billy offered, passing a couple of towels over his shoulder.
"I think you've done enough, Kaplan," Tommy said coldly.
