Terry shed his jacket and raised his hand to shield his eyes from the sun. He toed off his shoes, wiggling his toes in the warm sand before wading a little way in to the surf, letting the warm water wash around his legs without a care for what it might do to his pants. He knew people were staring at him, but he didn’t really care at the moment. He also foresaw a sunburn in his near future, but he could deal with that, too.
“You’re gonna look like a lobster,” Robbie called from above the water line. Terry turned around, looking the blonde superhero up and down.
“I like the new threads,” he said with a little smile. “They’re very… you.”
Robbie looked down at his new costume, a slightly darker version of his original one, then back up at Terry. “It was time for a change,” he said. “How’s the finding yourself thing going?”
“It goes. How’d you find me?”
“I’m with the Avengers now. You wouldn’t believe some of the stuff they have.”
“Staying long?”
“Well… I could go for a hotdog,” Robbie mused.
