Shizuka froze, eyebrows coming together as she slowly turned to look at Kaiba. He had an irritated look on his face, and his arms were crossed over his chest. “What?” she said, unable to believe her ears.
“I won’t say it again,” he snapped, his expression growing disagreeable.
“And you’ll deny you ever said it?” she suggested softly. He was pouting now, like Mokuba sometimes did. Shizuka giggled, trying to hide her smile behind her hand. “Apology accepted,” she told him. Kaiba relaxed a little, looking at her and nodding.
