Kaiba’s tongue darted out, probing the cut he sported on his lower lip as he looked at Jounouchi Katsuya with narrowed eyes. Jounouchi looked down at his fist, noting the flecks of blood on his own skin. He uncurled his fingers, blinking rapidly and wondering just how in the hell he’d managed to land a blow on Kaiba.
“If you let down your guard like that every time you land a blow,” the taller boy said in a monotone that grated on Jounouchi’s ears, “you’ll get whipped like a dog.”
Jounouchi swung again, but this time Kaiba slipped away, then knocked the blonde’s legs out from under him. Jounouchi fell forward, managing to catch himself before his face hit the pavement. Kaiba forced him the rest of the way down with a well placed foot between his shoulder blades.
“Stupid,” Kaiba muttered, walking away as Jounouchi rolled onto his back and get his feet.
“We’re not done.”
Kaiba paused, then turned to face Jounouchie. “I have better things to do than whip puppies.”
