Terry crouched in the center of his cell, studying the binding that was keeping him from using his powers. He didn’t hold out much hope of breaking the binding, but it beat doing nothing at all. For the first time in years, he was completely alone in his head, and he hated it. Without his powers, he stood no chance against the Skrulls, even if he could get out of the cell itself.
“psst!”
Terry looked around, hunting for the source of the voice. He couldn’t see anyone, but that didn’t necessarily mean someone wasn’t there.
“Hold still,” the little voice said. “I’m gonna see if I can…”
As he watched, the outer lines of the containment spell began to face, like someone was erasing it one layer at a time. When the spell broke, it was if a pressure had suddenly been lifted, like his metaphysical ears had popped. Then the fears came rushing in, and Terry started to laugh.
“The Skrull commanders are on a different ship,” the little voice said, “and I’m headed back there. I’ll free who I can on the way.”
“Got ya,” Terry said, slowly getting to his feet. He sorted through all the thoughts flitting into his head, finding just the right fear to do what he wanted to do. Smiling a horrible smile that was not his own, body twisting into an unfamiliar shape, he shattered through the front of the cell.

“Highness, we have a breach on the prison ship!”
“Someone alert the Consort, we have a Code Purple!”
Sarah nodded, a silent acknowledgment of the report. She had been about to leave the bridge to find either of her fathers when the second alarm went off.
“Highness, our agents in the Westchester compound have been discovered!”
