It has been the easiest thing in the world for Vision to go intangible and let the bullet pass right through him. A few moments before, It would have embedded itself harmlessly into the wall behind him
Unfortunately, the android hadn’t counted on Billy teleporting away from a man with a knife and right into the bullet’s path. Vision was aware of the change before the bullet reached Billy, but he knew that no matter how fast he was, it was already too late for him to actually do anything. He had already calculated just where the bullet would strike on Billy -- right through his throat. If Billy was lucky, it would be a very quick death, before he even knew what happened.
Vision wasn’t quick enough to save Billy.
Tommy was.
There was a blur, and Billy hit the ground with a startled cry as brick shattered, catching the bullet. Tommy was gone without a word, hammering the guy on top of Kate with blows that came faster than the eye could see.
Vision fell to his knees, reaching out to help Billy up.
