This was, of course, Karolina’s idea. Slipping out into the strange, whirling night world of LA, just being two more faces in the crowd. At some point, they’d ended up at a party, loops of candy necklaces around both their necks. Karolina had a drink in her hand, a poisonous green looking thing that made her legs unsteady and made her giggle uncontrollably. Xavin looped an arm around her beloved’s waist, turning dark looks on any who dared to look at Karolina covetously. She was so intent on this that she almost didn’t notice when Karolina started nibbling candy off Xavin’s necklace, inching nearer to her neck.
“My love…” Xavin said, torn between wanting Karolina to keep going, and knowing that she would not have been doing this if she hadn’t drunk three of those neon green things like they were water.
“Shh.” Karolina put a finger on Xavin’s lips. Shhh.“
“Alright,” Xavin murmured, stroking Karolina’s hair before going for the necklace of candy around Karolina’s throat.
