“Good job, son,” Reed Richards said, clapping Billy Kaplan on the shoulder. The young reality warper quickly brushed the hand away, giving Reed a chilly look.
“Don't touch me.”
Reed let his hands fall to his side and watched Billy stalk off, rather like an angry cat with it's hair standing on end.
From where he was watching, Kl'rt laughed. “I think he'll forgive me long before he forgives you,” the Super-Skrull said. He looked at the now destroyed Negative Zone portal before ambling off to do whatever thing he had planned to do now. Reed was too weary to be bothered by what that might be, so long as Kl'rt kept well out of his way.
He watched the assembled young super heroes instead, and saw them looked back at him just as coldly as Billy had. He found himself wondering how history would judge him for the things he had done.
A whole generation of heroes hated him, and he knew Kl'rt was right; the Super-Skrull would be accepted by them long before he was.
