Jubilee bounced on to Paige’s bed in a way that made the blonde girl’s stomach protest violently. The other girl sprawled bonelessly across the comforter and leered wickedly at Paige. “So, that musta been some kiss to blow up the whole dorm.”
Paige groaned, pulling a pillow over her aching head. “Leave me alone,” she whimpered. “My head hurts.”
“I bet. How many beers did you put away?” Jubilee continued, clearly intent on driving Paige into madness as a part of some evil revenge plot. It almost made Paige miss her little sisters; at least they could be shooed away more easily than this energetic young mutant.
“Just kill me now…”
