Sarah looked at Victor over the top of her laptop, a sly look sparkling in her dark eyes. Victor returned that look with a wary one of his own. He had a deep, burning suspicion that this way going to be one of those phenomenally bad ideas that Sarah occasionally trotted out during fits of boredom. “So, how cute do you think Julian is?”
Victor groaned and buried his face in his hands. Sarah arched an eyebrow, a faintly mocking smile on her lips. “He fits your pattern,” she went on. “Tall, dark, handsome, and sarcastic.” She chewed on her lower lip thoughtfully and added, “If I were a guy, I’d be your type.”
“That’s not my type!” Victor insisted. “I want someone nice. Someone who’s sweet. Julian may be an okay guy, as a friend, but he is not boyfriend material.”
“Everyone says that’s what they want, but what gets their hormones racing is still the bad boys. Give in to the urge,” she teased.
“Okay, lets say for the sake of argument that I do find Julian in any way attractive. The fact remains that Julian is straight and completely in to Sofia.”
Sarah shrugged. “Eh. Not my problem.”
