Sean and Emma looked at each other from opposite sides of the bed. Sean snatched the sheets, wrapping them around his waist as Emma rolled out of bed and reached for her robe. It settled around her with a faint whisper of silk, and she bent down, scooping up Sean’s pants and tossing them across the bed.
Sean reached for the pants, then threw his arms across his eyes as Emma flung open the drapes. “Augh! Christ, woman, you are cruel!”
“That’s what you get for drinking so much,” Emma replied. “And this is what I get for the same, I suppose.”
Sean looked away as Emma tightened the sash around her waist, and he grunted.
