“So all you have to do is send me back in time a week, and I fix it, and we’re all good,” Tommy explained. “Like that one show, with the guy on that military base. So, what do you say, Jonas?”
Jonas looked at Tommy for what felt like a very long time. [Absolutely not.]
“But why not?”
[Because it’s a horrible abuse of my powers to send you back in time just because you forgot Kate’s birthday and want to show Eli up. And if you ask me again, I will zap you.] He looked Tommy in the eyes. [If you think Billy’s zaps are bad…]
Tommy snorted and rolled his eyes. “I know you’re as big a drama queen as he is.” He pulled out a stick of gum and started chewing on it, working his jaw at super speed. It was a tick he’d developed at some point, one that had, thankfully, replaced Tommy’s pacing habit. “Fine. Then you can help me get her something made of pure awesome instead.”
