“Why are you looking at me like that?” Neznho asked, looking down at Victor as the young mutant grinned.
“I never thought I’d see the day when you’d willingly come out to see the city with… well, anyone,” he said, laughing softly. “Or see you in a t-shirt with a slogan on it.”
Neznho looked down at the ‘I’m With Stupid’ shirt that was draped over his torso, then at Santo, who was leaning over the side of the pier. “It seemed appropriate.”
“You having fun?” Victor asked as the railing broke, sending Santo tumbling into the bay.
“Surprisingly, yes.”
