Title: Old Friends
Fandom: New Warriors/X-Men
Characters: Jono, Jubilee, Emma, Monet
Prompt: 68. Nostalgic
Word Count: 200
Rating: PG
Summary: There’s something oddly satisfying about watching Jubilee toss Monet around.
Author's Notes: Written for luminum. I tried, honest, but neither Jubilee nor Monet would co-operate with me.

Jonothon Starsmore stood near Emma Frost, his face half hidden by the collar of his coat, and murmured, “Maybe it makes me a bad person, but I rather enjoyed seeing Jubilee toss you and Monet like that. Maybe it’ll teach you something about trying to sneak up on people who don’t want to be found.” He tapped his earpiece, a telepathy blocker disguised as a little phone. “We told you, you were done with us, and we’re done with you.”

Emma gave her former a dark look. “I think we have more important things to discuss than Jubilee’s new talents, Jonothon.”

“No,” he corrected, turning to watch Monet and Jubilee circle each other like a pair of angry cats. “No, we don’t. You made it abundantly clear how you feel about former mutants.”

“I spoke with Pete Wisdom-”

“Jono, we’re leaving!” Jubilee called. Jono nodded, walking away from Emma.
