Title: The Project
Universe: That Damn Mpreg
Rating: PG
Summary: Didi and Dexter are adjusting to life in Wakanda.
Dexter looked down at the rolling, bubbling vat of liquefied metal and scratched the three day growth of beard peppering his chin. He pushed his glasses up his nose and pulled his dirty blond hair into a stubby pony tail. Despite his best efforts, his hair quickly escaped the confines of his rubber band and went back to sticking to his neck and forehead.
“Daddy, look!”
Dexter looked away from the vibranium and saw his daughter rush past the Wakandian scientists, her black hair done up in a series of elaborate braids, each one ending in a little silver ball. He smiled and scooped her up. “Diedre! Don’t you look lovely.”
“Iris did it for me!”
“That was nice of her. Did you behave yourself with the princess?” Dexter put a finger on his daughter’s nose, still smiling.
“She was a delight,” the Wakandian princess said, slinking through the laboratory. That was the only way Dexter could describe the way the woman moved. She smiled and reached out, touching Deidre’s braids lightly. “We are happy to have you both here. I do not think we have ever had such charming guests.”
“We’re happy to be allowed here, Your Highness.”
Her smile got a little bit wider, her blue eyes sparkling. “I think it is safe enough for you to call me Iris.”
“Maybe some day, Your Highness,” Dexter said, putting Diedre down as she started to squirm free. “Ready?”
“Always,” the princess replied, pulling the molten metal from the vat.
