“I feel old,” Victor muttered as Aiden draped himself across his lap. The teenager stretched and looked up at him through his eyelashes as Victor ran his fingers through Aiden’s grey streaked hair.
“What?”
“Things have changed… a lot. Sometimes I forget, and then I’m reminded.” He sighed, and Aiden reached up, tracing Victor’s lips with a finger.
“You don’t look old.”
Victor nipped the tip of Aiden’s finger and smiled, though only a little bit. “You make me feel old, kid.”
“Don’t call me ‘kid.’”
