And yet.
She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but something seemed a little off, sometimes. Part of her wanted to put the blame on Nico, but that wasn’t it. Or at least, that wasn’t just it. If it was just Nico, the whole thing would have been easily resolved. Xavin didn’t much care to have rivals in… well, anything, really, let alone for the heart of her beloved.
But Karolina’s relationship with Nico was nothing like Karolina’s relationship with Xavin. Xavin was anything for Karolina, and Nico could not be Karolina’s anything.
