Xavin crossed her arms over her chest and glared at the belled hat on the table. “I am a Prince, and I am a solider. I do not run about in silly costumes with bells on it. I do not,” she pulled her lip back in a sneer, “caper.”
“You promised to go with me and Molly for Halloween, and you promised I could pick the costume,” Karolina reminded her. You look good as Harlequin.” She brushed invisible dust off her Columbine costume. “Please wear the hat.”
“I look like a fool. An actual fool.” Xavin picked up the hat and shook it. “Surely there was something more dignified that you could have chosen.”
“Get the hat on and lets go.”
