I love that these two are together again in New Warriors. I always wondered; do you have a background for each character worked out (e.g. Jono's life before GenX) that applies nearly all of the time, or do you start fresh each fic?

Since I've now got quite a large portion of the comms you post to friended, and obviously your main journal as well, I might defriend this journal, if you don't mind. I'll still be reading it regularly, of course, but it'll reduce the number of duplicate posts I see.

Actually, I'm too paranoid I'll miss something, since you don't post in fullmetal_cute when you update here anymore! ^_^

I only posted updates on my main journal when I was still updating my GJ account, and given that I don't update as often on comms anymore (mostly because I'm laaaaaaazy), that's probably the safest thing.

As for backgrounds, generally, I start from the same basic background unless the story calls for something very, very different. Though the background I use for Jono has changed a bit over time, especially since the whole Akkaba thing.

The Akkaba thing completely threw my background for Jono; learning more about Gayle did the same. I've kinda shoehorned it around canon now, which isn't ideal, but since it's mostly not relevant to things I'm writing it doesn't really matter!

Have you ever posted any of your background's for characters, as fics or even summaries?

I think I've managed to intigrate Akkaba in fairly well with the old background, and it actually helped with a few of the characters I have lurking in my mind in the Starsmore family tree (and one of these days, I'm going to get around to doing another part in the series I started featuring Jono and his aunt and cousin).

I've posted the backgrounds as stories for characters a few times, but most of those are lost in time and space, things that belonged to fandoms that I no longer belonged to.
