‘This’ was a goldfish swimming around in a plastic bag, which was currently clutched in the wolfish Legionnaire’s fist.
“Take it to your room, but it in the tank I bought you, and feed it,” Saturn Girl suggested. “It’s a pet. You take care of it.”
“I don’t want a pet. I wouldn’t know what to do with it.”
“It’ll be good for you to have something to take care of, Brin. Trust me.”
Brin glared at the fish, then at Saturn Girl.
“Have I ever lead you astray, Timber Wolf?”
Brin let out a disgruntled noise. “Fine.”
