I read all eight parts and it feels like it was 20-million parts (ok, you know what I mean). It's perfect. It makes me think of an assignment I tried to complete for one of my english lit classes and failed - "a short story is like a poem in that it must suggest more than it can actually show". This whole piece is rich and layered and cake-like, and feels like a handful of snapshots from an even bigger picture, but doesn't lose it's momentum.
Yeah, you know, what she said, 'cause she said it better than I ever could. *is bad at writing reviews* Mari didn't even feel like a Mary Sue at all, because she did serve a purpose for this story -- making Tony Dracon seem somewhat human, and showcasing Elisa's cop/human side.
