Title: Paradox
Rating: PG
Universe: DC Comics, Teen Titans vol. 3, Legion of Super-Heroes vol. 5
Summery: Bart meets the new Legion of Super-Heroes, and Dream Girl introduces him to her favorite game.
"The more things change, the more of an ass Cosmic Boy becomes." Conner muttered to Tim. He'd found himself becoming increasingly uncomfortable around this Liegion that was like his Legion, but not.
Bart was the only one who seemed to really understand Conner's discomfort, but he was nowhere to be found. Probably enjoying the hell out of himself somewhere.

"It's called Ivorsen's Parallelality Theorum." Querl said, looking at the view screen and not at the speedster beside him. "The basic principle is that all 'pasts' are connected to all 'futures', but some more loosely than others. The closer a 'past' is connected to a 'future', the easier it should be fore someone to travel from one to the other. A person should be incapable of existing in any period of a timeline that they would not naturally exist in, however." His eyes finally found Kid Flash, who was watching him with a very intense look on his face.
"And yet," the golden eyed speedster said, "here I am. I exist in a timeline where, as near as I can tell, I was never actually born. I've been in a couple, in fact."
"And that is where things get, as you put it, wonkey. Your present timeline is still connected to the 30th Century in which you were born. It is simply that the two are no longer directly connected to each other. You are the living embodiment of Faun's Paradox."
"So... Theoretically... I could get back to my 30th Century."
"Yes. Given enough time to process that data, I could get you there." Querl was already plugging equations into the computer, his mind on the facinatingly complex puzzle before him. Time travel was still only a theoretical possiblity in this 31st Century. And now, standing beside him, was living prood that it could be done.
"How much time?" Kid Flash asked.
"A month. Perhaps more."
Querl caught sight of Kid Flash's reflection in the view screen as his face fell. "Oh. I'm going to go find something to read." And then he left, moving at speeds that Querl knew Ultra Boy couldn't even match.

Bart just barely stopped in time to keep himself from colliding with Dream Girl at high speed. She smiled at him as if she had been expecting this. "Hello," she said, her voice low and throaty.
"Hi." Bart said. "Can I help you?"
She was still smiling. It was a strange smile, a very knowing smile. "Yes, you can help me with something very important." She put an arm around Bart's shoulders and started walking him down the hall. "I'm going to introduce you to my favorit game. Brainiac Brain Ball."
