Relief

So. Concert was last night. What a relief, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted now.

I'd say it went well, and it did, for the most part... except at the end of our set... Anyway, recap:

First off, I had gotten about 4-5 hours of sleep the night before. Had to get up at like 6something to get ready for work, which was from 8-5 (that's a long shift for me D: cashier, standing up the entire time, talking... stuff... blah) and when I got back I was stuck bumming around waiting for my brother to get back from work so he could bring me to Clyde's (where the concert was being held). Sound check started at 8:45; we finally arrived at like 9:00. Anyway, then we just chilled 'n stuff and I fought the urge to not fall asleep @.@ then got offered a RockStar (BAD IDEA. ENERGY DRINK=TWITCHYNESS) which me 'n fellow bandmate Judy kinda chugged... Yeah. At 11ish we went on... and I was kinda jittery due to the drink (oi...) and the FIRST note I played I was like, fuck, 'cause my bass was out of tune (just slightly but still. I noticed. Liek whoa) and so it went downhill from there (in my mind anyway) 'cause I felt like I was fucking up a lot and the more I felt like I was the worse I was feeling and I must've looked like a dork up there 'cause I probably looked frozen stiff and totally uncomfortable and arrg. And then during the last song I didn't have a part in it so I was just chilling up there and had to force myself not to breakdown... which I wound up doing. At the end of the song. At least it was when our set was done but I WAS STILL ON STAGE D: I hightailed it offa there as soon as possible and then just exploded into emo-dom >.> And everyone was consoling me (well, mostly the band, gah if EVERYONE was there it woulda been overkill and too much and probably woulda made it worse and... yeah anyway). We walked outside in the fresh air for a while and when we came back in I was all happy again (my breakdowns really don't last that long...) and the relief was awesome.

So now the pressure's off. It feels great. And I'm still gonna keep my bass and continue to play a bit but like I said there won't be pressure like there was, and we're probably gonna do some one-on-one stuff (kinda like free lessons... with friends! XD). Anyway yeah I feel great now. And as I've stated before I HAVE AWESOME FRIENDS. ^_____^ (ALL OF YOU)

... And now I have to work on a stupid presentation that I have to do TOMORROW. Yeurrch.
