Kim JaeJoong - you find yourself thinking about the said name a lot more than usual. When you watch old (new) music videos, look at old (new) love notes and text messages, see old (new) photo shoots, hear old (new) songs, you are reminded of crazy hairstyles, large eyes and full lips, beautiful smiles and laughs, bittersweet moments of what forever should be.
You remember the text messages he sent you, the phone calls he made, the first time, the first time he and the others left. Your phone goes off every hour, and you’re tired - tired of everything - because they had made the choice to leave. But you read the text messages nevertheless. You never replied but you made sure to read every single damn text message because they were from JaeJoong. But you knew deep down, somewhere inside of you, you wanted to know what he was saying - how he was doing.
There are many things you want to say as you reread through each text message he has sent you (yes, you saved them). Like “I love you the most in the world” because fuck you do love this ridiculous man. Or like “I don’t need anything but you” because even though you have Changmin by your side, your other seniors and juniors stand before you, shower you with hugs and kisses and whisper into your ears that they will never leave your side, you don’t want them like you need him. Or “you’re the reason I’m alive” because even though they live separately now, JaeJoong is one the main reasons why he’s here today. He can’t afford to lose Kim JaeJoong - never Kim JaeJoong.
But you can’t say those things right now. There are responsibilities that you must fulfill, loads of work that you must hurry and finish before you can tell him anything. And as you shut your phone, place it under your pillow, and leave the room, you wonder how much longer will you have to fake your feelings before you break that promise to yourself.
