(She follows him in silent as he walks into the night, his previous words continuing to repeat in the back of her mind.
“You never cared, so I don’t want your pity.”
That’s not true, she wants to say - for he has captured her attention the moment they have met.)
I stopped to imagine your looks,
I stopped to imagine the appearance.
Mu Nianci (Liu Shi Shi) - it’s a name you try to forget sometimes; a name you almost despise. It sounds bitter at the tip of your tongue when you whisper it into the night air. But somehow, in the back of your mind - you know, the name lingers. It haunts you just how she haunts you, and it makes you quiver in excitement and fear. Excitement for it belongs to the woman you happen to love, but fear because you are not familiar with this feeling.
What is it? You do not know for there is no accurate definition to describe such a word. But you do know that it makes your heart weak - makes you weak emotionally and mentally.
You close your eyes and lean back against the wall, and immediately, you see a vivid image of her face. The distinctive details of every little thing you remember, the dimple on her right cheek, the shine in her eyes when she sees you in the room, the quirk of her eyebrows when she’s thinking…
You shake your head to get rid of the image and take in a deep breath. ‘It’s better this way,’ you tell yourself. It’s a selfish act (desire), this you know for sure, but you can’t have her by your side. You can’t afford to play with Lady Fate in this game of love because you already know the outcomes, and you will be devastated if you lost her.
No, things will be better this way.
(She takes a step forward but stops herself from going any closer. He still hasn’t noticed that she has been following him, but she knows she’s not welcomed if she does approach him.
She hears a distant sigh and her heart wavers.
“Yang Kang,” she whispers sadly into the night air.)

Author's Note: I love and hate the relationship between Yang Kang and Mu Nianci (2009 Version). Yuan Hong, who plays as YK, just hurts my heart a lot, and Liu Shi Shi (MNC) is just...breathtakingly gorgeous. I'm still spazzing over them, enuff said. :]
