5 days till blast off...
So the last week of being here has finally come. Just all the crappy last minute things left to do, pawning electronics, giving off things to charities, throwing a hell of alot of stuff away. And as if we wern't going to drive Anthony's American credit into the ground enough, we found out today that at the end of our ten month lease we aren't just allowed to leave and be done. No, apparentally 60 or so days ago we were supposed to inform them that we would be leaving and now they expect us to pay for two months rent. What the fuck is a lease for if not to determine the amount of time you want to be there unless otherwise stated. Stupid bastards! It's just another small print they shove in, knowing full well everyone skims over it so they can bleed more money out of people they essentially care nothing for. It's a horrible apartment complex to live in, they put more effort into the surrounding gardens then they do the people and their living quarters.
From day one the engine of our air-con was broken, and so had been leaking and left stains all over the ceiling in the bathroom making the whole flat smell like piss. The balcony door was broken, the bedroom window was broken, they had no ceiling lighing in either the living room or bedroom, the dishwasher was broken, as was the ceiling fan in the bathroom. Way to make a great first impression, dickheads!
I just can't wait to be lying in bed next Monday night in Sydney, Australia.
