Week of Joy
Its been a fantastic week. 2.5 years of work paid off and we were successful in securing funding for two big new programmes which will start later this year. Big news for us and for me. I have spent most of the week grinning like a loon. Excited about all the things we are going be able to do now :)
Also had an ace time in London yesterday, went to this amazing little iraqi restaurant for dinner with friends. Huge, huge amounts of food, really well done. Although I should learn that good humous and fresh bread is entirely appropriate for a starter and main course as its so yummy I could eat it all day. Had Iraqi tea which was also delicious, served in these amazing little glasses. Had one of those moments where I can't believe that little old me, from way down in Devon gets to do/see/taste things from all over the world, realising I am really grateful for the opportunities I have had in my life.
Watching Sex and the City. I am loving the glamour and the shoes and its just making me want cocktails in lovely colours in those lovely cocktail glasses. I'm so easily led.
